May 12, Monday, 7 p.m. Is This a Thing? will be focusing on “Do-Gooders Gone Bad or The Road To Hell (attempts to do the right thing going awry)” for this month storytelling event. Elizabeth will be telling a story about her attempts to be a bad girl, knowing that she just isn’t that committed along with a slew of other storytellers. This show will be at O’Shaughnessy’s, 4557 N Ravenswood Ave.
May 16, Friday, 7 p.m. Two for one! Come see Anita Mechler and Elizabeth Gomez at You’re Being Ridiculous (changes)! hosted by the lovely and beautiful Jeremy Owens. This event is filled with great storytellers at Mary’s Attic, 5400 N Clark. You can purchase tickets in advance by clicking here.
May 23, Friday, 6:30 p.m. Elizabeth Gomez and Justin Kaufmann premiere their monthly show, After Dark with Ed Bus at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia. This part late-night talk show, part variety show, part community meeting is just what Chicago ordered. Featuring live music, sketches, interviews and shenanigans. The Alderman is back and stronger than ever. Hell, he may even run for mayor…again.
