Erin Kanary is proud to say she was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She spent her early years performing in piano recitals, rewriting the Beatitudes in her various God-fearing journals, and adapting Disney’s The Aristocats for the stage. Twenty years later, after a short stint playing keyboards for a Journey tribute band, Erin moved to Chicago to give sketch comedy a try. She was a winner of Second City’s Outside the Box VI Sketch contest and was featured in Mary Scruggs Works by Women Festival 2012 at Second City. She recently co-wrote, directed, and produced Damn It, Janet, a sketch comedy revue inspired by Janet Jackson. She currently spends her days writing, running, and designing your business card. Erin lives in Chicago with her futon and Bob Seger Pandora station.
