We pay the landlord to rent space in this building.
We pay the bank to rent space in that home.
We pay the federal government to rent space in this country.
We pay the state government to rent space in that state.
We pay the municipal government to rent space in this city.
We pay a tip to rent space in this bar.
We pay a bill to rent space in that restaurant.
We pay a fare to rent space in this cab.
We pay admission to rent space in that theater.
We pay for tickets to rent space in this stadium.
We pay tuition to rent space in that school.
We pay membership fees to rent space in this club.
We pay dues to rent space in that union.
We pay income tax to rent space in this market.
We pay a tithe to rent space in that church.
We pay a donation to rent space in this class of society.
We pay auto insurance to rent space on that road
We pay health insurance to rent space in this body.
We pay end of life insurance to rent space in the ground.
Let go of the fantasy that you deserve the right to occupy a space for free
And search for the rent you can afford that feels like home.
And Know the only space you can ever hope to own is inside your head.
