We here at DWWP have found our writing group has helped us launch into other projects. It’s been a fulfilling reward for a band of rogue ink slingers who simply wanted to write and have an excuse to drink on a Sunday morning. We’d love to share these projects with you. 9/6 @ 7:30 PM, Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont: Drinkers with Writing Problems presents “A Shot and a Story”. DWWP writers and friends get together to tell real life stories and offer up two spots for a random draw of audience members to have a chance to tell their tales!
9/13 @ 7:30 PM, Uncharted Books, 2620 N. Milwaukee: Catch Elizabeth Gomez (comedy website for stand up dates) reading at Self Publishers of Chicago (SPOC)
9/13 @ 8 PM, Great Lakes Tattoo, 1148 W. Grand: DWWP Writer, Kim Nelson, performs at That’s All She Wrote.
9/17 @ 8 PM, Holiday Club, 4000 N Sheridan Rd: Conor Cawley and friends host Rat Pack Comedy. Come for the martinis, stay for the laughs. This happens every 2nd and 4th Thursday.
LASTLY! Our favorite L.A. based writer, Kirk Novak has spent an enormous time writing a television show packed with humor, action, and an actor with abs for days. Oh! And they need money! Please consider donating so we can see more DICKS!
