Anita Mechler: Natural Inclinations

A dangerous city,

replete with loud noises, strangers, danger & adventure.

In the woods,

danger without civilization.

Canoeing in a lagoon,

algae in the shape of giant underwater spiderwebs.

Calm.

A mother deer and her baby fawn,

hiding in the brush.

Then The Lake,

bending and tipping in the wake of larger vessels.

Panic.

And then it subsides,

satisfied with our want for adventure.
