I recognize me, as you recognize you.

Finally, there you are.

I am mesmerized by your eyes

breathless,

Your pupils dilate,

I throw every ounce of myself towards you,

reveal my whole truth.

A force like breakers striking the rocks.

I was taught that this was wrong,

and chapter and verse,

I have repeated their litany.

But this is what we were made to do .

And now, locked in each others arms,

the the timeless beauty of our reunion washes over me,

the perfection is awful.

We have met before,

too many times to mention,

our inescapable cellular truth.
